Rainy Season or No?

We have an ongoing argument in our house. Can it be rainy season if the weather gods have not officially declared it thus? I say no hubby says yes. As you can see I am not looking forward to rainy season this year. The reason? I had my swim workout all figured out, without the afternoon rains figured in dang it!

Now I am trying to figure out a schedule that is family friendly, weather friendly, and me friendly. It just is not coming together for me right now. I guess I will have to give it until I get over the stomach flu and by then maybe I will have something figured out to get myself to the pool.

Speaking of stomach flu. I believe that Costa Rica breeds the most potent ugly stomach viruses known to mankind, at least to this mankind! I was telling my daughter that I worked 12 years in my massage business and never got sick or had to cancel an appointment in all those years.

If I was trying to work here, actually I am but it just is not happening :) I would be canceling and rearranging appointments all the time! Just to keep up with my tummy. I have been looking at my prakruti, or my dosha which is pitta, kapha and trying to figure out what I can do to get myself in balance and can't really come up with much.

My daughter gently pointed out to me that no I am not dying, but yes I am slowly falling apart! Bummer! Maybe my warranty was only for like 50 years or something. That would mean I have a lot of bucket list things to fit in in the next few months, better get busy.

LOW BACK BLUES

I am trying to send positive vibes to my low back so that it will cooperate and get along with me. It is not listening. It refuses to let me move and sit and lay down and all the other things I really need and like to do. I did not go for a run this morning, thinking if I was nice to it it would cooperate. Wrong!
For 33 years now I have had problems with my hips and sacrum area. I have tried pilates, yoga, chiropractors, physical therapists, pain pills, triathlon, and accupuncture. All to no avail. I read a book that said if you ignore it that it will go away, that by the way does not work either.
I remember my grandma of 9 kids walking around just like I do. The difference was she was really old and I am just creeping up on old. The real problem is my back tends to just wig out at the most inconvenient and awkward times.
The next step is gasp, and sigh seeing the Doc. I have seen so many of my clients with similar back problems who went to so many docs with no relief. But on my bucket list I have to get my back fixed, so I am not ready to hobble around for another 45 years! Time to find the "cure".

VISION BOARDS

I have been reading a little about the laws of attraction. The thing I like best so far is the idea of making a vision board. That would be a poster with all the things you would like to accomplish, or attain in life. I think I will have to use a whole wall of the house for mine because I have lots of ideas for mine.

The good thing is that my husband is a Fung Shui guy and can tell me exactly where on the poster to put everything to get the best bang for my buck, or success for my pic. I am already gathering pics and ideas of things that I want to have on my board.

Most of the ideas I have taken off my list of 100. This would be akin to a "bucket list". All the things I want to do, be, and have from my life. I made one about 10 years ago and am still whittling, changing and rearranging that one.

After making a new one, combined with my old one I will take as much off of there as I can to fit onto my board. Like I said before my biggest problem is that I want sooo much out of life. I had my "near death" experience when I was 32 and have been going pretty much full steam since then to check things off my list.

Come to think of it maybe I better slow down. What happens when the list is done?
